The name
Why we’re called Software Stories
Every product starts as a story. A project-controls team is rebuilding schedule reports in spreadsheets. An agency can’t see its clients’ ad spend in one place. A small business has the invoices but not the carbon report.
Our job is to understand that story well enough to write it in code. We ask the awkward questions early. We choose the technology the problem needs. Then we build it properly and hand it over in a state your team can run.
The name is also a promise to show our working. Every project on this site has a full write-up: the problem, the decisions we made and what changed. Read those before you take our word for anything.

Most failed software solved the wrong problem well. We spend the first conversations on what you need and why, before anyone talks about frameworks.

We choose proven technology, write things down and hand over properly. Your product should never depend on us to keep running.

Every engagement follows the same shape. We start with a free one-hour call. Next comes a written scope with a fixed or capped price. During the build you get a demo every week. It ends with launch and a full handover. If you want us to stay on, we continue on a retainer.
